jumping the gun

You know when it was in the 70s for days and days on end here on the East Coast? Yeah, I'm afraid I got a little carried away. I convinced myself spring was, in fact, here to stay. I planted things. Outside. I know, I know—terrible rookie mistake. Last night it got down to 12 degrees. We'll see how my kale and spinach fare in the days ahead, but it sure was nice having summer in March.

Sometimes, in the dead of winter, you have to go out and get a begonia. Bring it home, and stick it in a planter that looks like a lady's head.
